The HTC Wildfire also features an optical trackpad for alternative navigation through the phone and a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, autofocus and smile detection. There is also a 3.5mm headphone socket for listening to audio and video files and a microSD card slot capable of holding microSd cards up to 32GB.

The HTC Wildfire will be available in four colours, black, brown, red and white and will have social networking integration as well as access to the Android Market with thousands of downloadable applications and games.

There is no news on how much this device will cost, but is expected to come out sometime in July here in the UK. HTC mobile phones have taken quite a bit of the market share over the past couple of years and the Wildfire is sure to persuade those looking for a cheaper alternative to the HTC Desire.

Thankfully the HD mini has a more practical 3.2 inch touchscreen, but don’t be put off by the size as it has most of the features of the HD2. First up there is built in GPS, Wi-Fi and 3.5G connectivity, a 3.5mm headphone socket and a 5 megapixel camera.

The HTC HD mini also runs the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system which can take care of all your application and media needs and has the HTC Sense user interface with multi-touch support to navigate the device.

Measuring just 103 x 57.7 x 11.7mm and weighing 110 grams, the HTC HD mini is a compact device and data can be stored via the microSD card slot taking cards up to 16GB. HTC has announced that the HD mini should be released sometime in April but there is no word on price yet.

The HTC HD mini is sure to be a hit with those people that want all of the features of the HD2 but don’t want to carry around a large device all of the time.

Featuring the super fast 1Ghz Snapdragon processor, 576MB of RAM and a 3.7 inch OLED touchscreen, the HTC Desire should be great at surfing the internet and playing media files as well as allowing multiple applications to run at one time.

With similar styling to the Google Nexus One (also manufactured by HTC), the Desire features a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, a 3.5mm headphone socket for listening to media and 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity to surf the internet. GPS is also included as is Flash 10.1 support and of course with any Google Android device there is a plethora of other application to download from the marketplace.

It’s not the smallest device in the world measuring 119 x 60 x 11.9mm and weighing in at 135 grams, but it’s easily one of the fastest and feature ladened Android devices so far. HTC state that the Desire will be available from April onwards but there is no word on price yet.

Prices start at €11.99 for the pre-designed covers or €14.99 to design your own. This is what we came up with after a couple of minutes of playing around.

Full specifications for the HTC Magic are still to be released, but we do know that the device is similarly styled to the HTC G1, but does not have a sliding QWERTY keyboard, instead opting for a full touch screen interface.

Other features include a 3.2 inch touch display, HSDPA, Wi-Fi and GPS connectivity and a 3.2 megapixel camera. The HTC Magic will also feature a trackball and separate navigation buttons for easy access to applications and email. It will also feature Google’s popular applications like Google Mail and Google Maps as well as access to Android Market, which allows users to download applications and games quickly and easily.

HTC say that the Magic will hit stores in the spring and will initially be available in the UK, Germany, Spain and France exclusively for Vodafone customers, with other territories to follow soon after.

In case you don’t know, Android is a completely open source mobile phone operating system, which means that any third party developers can make applications for the platform. This is set to revolutionise the functionality and uses of our mobile devices.

The G1, which is manufactured by HTC, features a 3.2 inch touchscreen display, Trackball for alternative navigation and a slide out QWERTY keyboard. Other additions include Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity, GPS navigation, MP3 player, Bluetooth and a 3 megapixel camera.

As mentioned above, the G1 will use the Android Operating System, which will have access to Android Market, an application shop where you can download the latest software and games. The device will also have access to Amazon’s new MP3 store, which has over 6 million DRM-free songs to buy and download to the device.

The T-Mobile G1 will be available in the US from the 22nd October, with the UK release at the beginning of November and the rest of Europe in early 2009. It will cost from $179 in the US, but there is no pricing for the UK and Europe yet.

The HTC S740 still retains one feature from the S730; the dual keyboards, a numerical keyboard on the front and a slide-out full QWERTY keyboard in the middle. The S740 will also feature Wi-Fi and HSPDA, a 3.2 megapixel camera and Bluetooth connection.

Other additions include a 2.4 inch LCD display, GPS/A-GPS for navigation and a microSD card slot for storing files. All of these features, plus the QWERTY keyboard inside a phone that is only slightly bigger than the HTC Diamond Touch will be a plus point for some.

The dual keyboard configuration and the lack of a touchscreen might put some people off, but those who want the functionality of a standard phone coupled with being able to write emails easily it’ll be a bonus.

The HTC S740 is expected out sometime in the coming months, there is no word on networks or tariffs at the moment.
