It was just a matter of time till the traditional fridge magnet was given a face lift into the twenty-first century; I bring you the Falcon digital fridge magnet. No longer will your fridge be limited to just a few photos stuck on with Blu- tack or that free magnet you got out of a cereal box.
The product title says it all… how many features can one desktop monitor have? This Dell UltraSharp 2405FPW 24″ LCD Flat Panel monitor is becoming the most sort after monitor at the moment. With it being a Dell they are only available online direct from Dell and normally retail out at £799, but for March they have a “buy one get one half price” offer on, so they work out to be just over £600 each. This is well worth every penny.
Could it be true…. might we be able to get our hands on the Optimus OLED keyboard, that was reviewed in October 2005, earlier than the expected Summer 2006.
When you buy Sony you always expect high quality. The battery is claimed to take 380 photos on full charge with the Cybershot W7. The Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens looks really impressive with that green tint. It automatically looks like you know what you’re doing even if you don’t have a clue. This Sony camera gives great shots with minimal effort required with the 7.2 mega pixel capacity.
For the ultimate gadget to look out for in the Summer of 2006 it has to be the Optimus keyboard, designed by the Art Lebedev Studios in Russia. This is a definate must have.
So it’s not your 50″ plasma but if you’re living in a small flat or have a small guest bedroom this multi use LCD screen is great. Firstly looking at it from a TV point of view you do need to sit at least 5-6 feet away from it otherwise things are a little bit blocky. The speakers are fairly good and are really enhanced by the virtual Dolby which creates a 5.1 sound from your 2 speakers. You can still have it fairly loud and it doesn’t distort.
For anyone who has had a 42″ plasma TV for a while, it is time that you made the next step up and got yourself a 50″ plasma. This Panasonic TH50PHW6 has fantastic picture quality and such sharpness that there is no going back once you’ve watched an action packed movie on one of these. The screen is completely flat, with a full 50″ viewing area, and a 160 degree viewing angle. It has one of the brightest displays, and can display up to 1,070 million colours with a 4000:1 contrast ratio. It is best watched at 16:9 wide screen cinema aspect, and it certainly feels like you are at the cinema especially when you plug in your surround sound system.
