Apple sales fall for the first time in 13 years

They have been sailing along happily now for a long time and Apple products, particularly the iPhone and iPad have probably been the mainstay of the company for a long time. Some time ago it was the digital music player in the iPod series that many believed were responsible for keeping Apple going when they were in an uphill battle in the pc market, but now it is reported that revenues for the company have dropped by 13% in the second quarter, with sales of iPhones slipping. The sales of the ‘phone have dropped by 10 million compared to the same period in 2015, China is the area responsible for much of this with sales dropping in that country by 26%, much blame being laid at the door of a strong dollar.

Apple sets its sights on an electric car by 2019

Apple Mac early computers, iPods, iPhones, iPads and finally watches, Apple has people queueing all night to get the latest product, but will they be just as enthusiastic about an Apple car?

Reports in the Wall Street Journal suggest that Apple is targeting a major effort to create its first electric car; it has committed employees and resources to get the car ready for an unveiling in 2019. Sources are claiming the project is called Titan, for this Apple has drawn in an extra swathe of employees from across the company and the original number of 600 has been tripled. (more…)

Android Wear now compatible with iPhone

So this is great news for those Android Wear users that might just happen to have an iPhone as it has been officially announced that the watches are now compatible with iPhones Users will be able to check messages, track fitness and use voice commands by installing the new Android Wear iOS app, compatible iPhones are 5, 5c, 5s, 6, or 6 Plus running iOS 8.2 and above.

Faulty iPhone 6 Plus cameras will be replaced free by Apple

It is no secret that a number of users of the iPhone6 Plus have reported poor quality imaging when using the smartphone’s ‘iSight’ rear cameras. Apple has responded by saying that they have announced replacement program for those smartphones with faulty cameras.

Apple reveals new Music app to rival Spotify

Apple were pioneers in the music streaming business and although they did lose ground to Spotify, the company is widely credited with the first digital music revolution, with the launch of the iPod in 2001 and its iTunes Store in 2003. In fact if we look further back to around 1977 a form of rudimentary audio was available on the Apple 11 computers. However it was the launch of the iPod in 2001 that was to be the item which many believe saved Apple as a company, as at the time they were losing out in the computer world to PC’s.

Apple Watches and tattoos just do not mix

What appears to be a malfunction with the just released Apple Watch has come to light and it was affecting only those people who had tattoos. This was first discovered by a user who was tattooed and reported it on Reddit the entertainment, social networking, and news website, who complained that his watch would regularly lose connection, and report inaccurate heart rate results.
