iPhone sales are down as Apple announces a rise in profits

After the announcement earlier this week that Apple had made a 26% rise in profits over the same period last year, it seems that the iPhone sales have dropped. Sources inside O2, the exclusive mobile network for the iPhone in the UK, have stated that iPhone sales are down to around 18,000 a week.

T-Mobile and Google’s G1 Smartphone get showcased

Yesterday, Google and T-Mobile showcased the first Google Android OS Smartphone. The device, which is called the T-Mobile G1 is set to be the first in a long line of Android powered devices and will be positioned to rival Apple’s iPhone, RIM’s Blackberry and Palm’s devices.
