LG Optimus One – a great smartphone for the price!

The LG Optimus One is a relatively low cost smartphone from noted electronics manufacturer LG and was released to replace a number of other cheaper models in the company’s handset portfolio. However, despite the phone’s low price, the LG Optimus One is still a very capable phone and comes packed with the same features and technology that is usually reserved for more expensive models. The phone runs on Android 2.2, one of the best operating systems in the market, and has a responsive 3.2′ screen with a 3 megapixel camera. Although it can sometimes be obvious where corners have been cut with the LG Optimus One in order to lower the price to around the £140 mark, it still has all the features you would expect from a handset twice that price.

There are a number of contract LG Optimus One deals available on the market, with the most popular costing between £15 and £25 per month. With these deals, customers can expect to get between 100-300 minutes of free calls, anywhere between 100 and 600 free messages per month and a data allowance of at least 500MB, although this is usually unlimited.

Thanks to the low cost of the handset, almost all contracted LG Optimus One deals include the phone for free, although some ultra-low cost monthly contracts of around £10 will expect customers to pay anything up to £100 for the handset itself. As the phone can come for free for a contract of just a few pounds per month more, these deals should be avoided.
