Sony Ericsson W900 Walkman

sony ericsson w900 Here we have the Sony Ericsson W900, the first Walkman phone with 3G capabilities. This is a really stylish mobile phone with a cool swivel design, incorporating an advanced digital music player. The front of the phone gives you all of you music controls with the normal mobile phone keypad hidden away for when you want to text or call someone. It has an impressive 2.2″ TFT screen allowing for great video and photo playback. Pictures taken with the phone are great with the 2 mega pixel camera with LED flash and 8x zoom.

Internally the W900 has 470MB of memory that will store between 120 and 240 songs but you can easily expand this up to 2GB with a Pro Duo memory stick. This will take the song capacity to 1000, which is a huge amount. The W900 makes it easy to get your songs onto the mobile phone’s memory and will play your Mp3, AAC, AAC+, WAV and XMF files. As well as the Mp3 set up the W900 Walkman also has a built in FM radio.

It has the usual Bluetooth and USB connectivity that comes as almost standard these days and is available in either black or white. We prefer the black one as it’s really stylish. When it comes to mobile phones Sony Ericsson is a world leader, but couple that with Sony’s Walkman technology and you have a great gadget. This enables you to take the capabilities of the Sony Walkman and have it on your mobile phone.

This looks great. I am tempted to go for the Sony Walkman but getting this in a phone makes a great deal of sense to me. I don’t have huge amounts of Mp3’s unlike some people I know so this will have just the right amount of storage. Looks great too

it’s cool… but are the mp3’s on this as good as the actual walkman?
do you still have to use the connect software?

  6. supermans knickers Says:

    Question.
Does this phone need the oh so marginal Sony connect software to run MP3 programmes?
Is it compatible with the NWA series.
ie could I plug it into my new sony head unit and use it like I may use the NWA (if I ever buy one again)

  7. Robert Says:

I just bought one of these and simply downloaded my standard mp3:s and it works perfectly. Sounds great too! The interface is very good looking and easy to use, but I have to disagree about the colour, white is more futuristic and cool.
