ZyXEL AG225H Wireless Signal Finder
You may have bought a wireless signal finder, used it to find a network, unpacked your laptop to get ready to connect to the net then realise its encrypted. If this sounds familiar then you need to look at getting this bad boy for around £50.
The ZyXEL AG225H tells you what encryption if any there may be, the signal strength, and the SSID. What a bonus, but we must stress that that stealing bandwidth is illegal, but I suppose you’d really have to be hogging a great deal of bandwidth for days before you get a short holiday, courtesy of HM The Queen.
There’s a rechargeable battery inside which is a great idea and even better as it recharges itself when you plug it into your USB port.
The only down side is that if all your USB ports are in a row or on top of each other then the AG225H will block one port due to its slightly larger size, but that’s easily solved by using a USB hub or one of the short extension cables that you sometimes get with USB memory sticks.
