The iPhone 4 got officially revealed to the public yesterday at the WWDC 2010 conference and although most of the specs have been leaked over the past month or so there is still plenty to get excited about.
The iPhone 4’s design is slightly different to the previous models and encompasses a metallic frame and toughened glass on both the front and the back. Apple state that this engineered glass is 30 times stronger than plastic making the device super durable.
The iPhone 4’s screen has also been updated; called the Retina display, this screen has a resolution of 640 x 960 which is four times better than the iPhone 3GS. The device is also capable of video calling which Apple call FaceTime and can be switched between both the front and back cameras simultaneously.
The rear mounted camera is 5 megapixels and boasts an LED flash for low light situations and can record video up to 720p at 30 frames per second. You can also edit your videos on the device with the applications included.
The iPhone 4 will be available with 16GB or 32GB hard drives and will be priced at $199 and $299 respectively. Pre-orders will start on the 15th of June and shipping will commence on June the 24th.
