LG SavaJe OS Mobile Phone

LG SavaJe This week it was announced by LG Electronics and SavaJe Technologies that they are the first company to have developed a mobile phone that uses the SavaJe operating system that is entirely based on a Java platform. The SavaJe mobile phone will be ready for mass production and release in 2006.

The SaveJe OS is based in the technology from Sun Microsystems Java technology. The applications including the UI has all been written in Java which will enable LG to offer mobile phone operators the ability to have these phones customised easily. The extra applications will be built in and will also be available to download. New applications can be developed by both the wireless and desktop programmers.

The LG SavaJe handset has a good design with a slide feature to gain access to the keypad. It has a 1.3 mega pixel camera, Bluetooth connection, Mp3 player, and with the SD card you will be able to store up to 1GB of music, video, pictures and applications.
