Transflash Memory Card

Transflash memory We got confused at first thinking that MiniSD was another name for Transflash. But it’s not. Let us explain:

MiniSD is smaller than SD and MMC, but larger than TransFlash which is also called MicroSD.
MiniSD is nearly the same size as competitor RS-MMC.

We hope you got all that.
The newer phones like the RAZR V3i and the SLVR V8 use Transflash memory, and prices are about the same as the MiniSD cards. Transflash is so small that it is not designed to be handled regularly as it is only 15×11x1mm. It is a semi-removable flash memory card. You can get an adapter so that you can use your Transflash card in your other SD enabled devices.

More and more various standards and card types. Why don’t they create a unified card or something like that, so people can use the same cards on all hardware they have - phones, MP3 players, PDAs, laptops, cameras.

The only reason that this can be put down to is that the various manufacturers don’t try and make it easy for us, they just want to sell their own product, to make more money. I agree that it is very annoying having all the different technologies. At least with this Transflash memory card you can get an adapter to SD enabled devices.
