Nokia HS-26W Bluetooth Headset
A new survey released today by the What Car? group has shown that there are still a large number of drivers who are still using their mobile phones while driving without a hands free kit. The survey showed nearly 9% of drivers still frequently use their mobile phone while driving without hands free, and another 9% admit to using their phone but had intended to stop before answering it. The Department of Transport obviously disagree with these figures saying that it is only around 1.5% of drivers who are the offenders. Obviously driving a car while holding a phone to your ear is very distracting and is the result of many accidents.
As gadget lovers here at Techlounge we thought that due to this we would look into the hands free market and see what is out there. There are many reasonable priced hands free kits available but what we think should happen is that the hands free kits should be included in the package when you buy a new mobile phone. The Nokia HS-26W is a great blue tooth headset. It is the first Nokia headset that integrates the Bluetooth standard version 2 which gives the user faster connection times and a more stable link. The headset is comfortable as the elastic earhook can fit over either ear and has easy to use volume and talk controls. The battery life is good with 5 hours talktime and 150 hours standby time. This headset will work with any Bluetooth enabled mobile phone and at under £30 it’s definitely well worth having.

There are so many bluetooth headsets to choose from that it’s hard to pick one. I’d like to buy one from the web but really need to be able to try one on first before I bought, but hate the pushy sales guys

i have this headset Nokia HS-26W and it rocks. i use it with my v551 and the range is amazing, it loud but not blocking any outside noise. sound crisp even at 20 feet from phone. (bluetooth can at max go to 35). and simple. hold one button it tells the phone to lsiten for voice activation, talk talk talk, click same on it hangs up and also picks up when a call comes in. then power and volume. simple as a pimple and twice as nice.
