Gateway has announced its new netbook range the LT series. In a break from the already crowded netbook market, the Gateway LT3103u features an AMD Athlon 64 1.2GHz Single-Core Processor as opposed to the standard Intel Atom processor, and ditches the integrated graphics in favour of the ATI Radeon X1270 with 256MB HyperMemory.
The Gateway LT3103u runs Windows Vista Home Basic and has a large 11.6” LED backlit display with 1366 x 768 resolution. A 250GB hard drive is included, as well as 2GB RAM for multi tasking and a 5-in-1 media card reader supporting MemoryStick, MemoryStick Pro, MultiMediaCard, Secure Digital and xD-Picture Cards.
As is standard on many netbooks nowadays, the LT3103u has built-in Wi-Fi connection for browsing the internet on the move and an integrated 0.3 megapixel webcam, as well as 3 USB connections and a VGA socket.
Measuring in at 1.03 x 11.26 x 7.99 inches and weighing just 3.04 lbs, the Gateway LT3103u is ideal for anyone looking for a powerful and compact netbook and the inclusion of Windows Vista may appeal to many people.
