Toshiba has announced a new mini notebook to join its range. The NB200 has a 10.1” Trubrite display, 160GB hard drive and is powered by Windows XP Home Edition.
You can either choose from 1GB or 2GB system memory and either an Intel Atom N270 processor (clocked at 1.6GHz) or the new Atom N280 processor (kicking out 1.66GHz). Having a bigger screen than the Toshiba NB100, the NB200 also has a bigger and easier to use 86 key, keyboard.
An integrated VGA webcam is also included as well as Wi-Fi connectivity to surf the net. Bluetooth connection is available on higher models and all the models 3x USB’s, internal microphone, headphone socket, monitor out and 2-in-one card reader compatible with SD and Multimedia cards.
The Toshiba NB200 measures a highly portable 26.3 x 21.15 x 2.54cm and weights just 1.3Kg, and the battery can last up to 9 hours, which is impressive from such a small device.
The Toshiba NB200 mini notebook is ideal for moderate tasks and surfing the internet when you’re out and about, but don’t expect it to play newish games or do a multitude of complex tasks.
The NB200 is available in black, brown or white depending on the model, with prices starting at around £329.
