Pet Plants
We heard that there was a new craze sweeping the nation, after this accessory had already been BIG in the Far East. The latest must have accessory is the Pet Plant. Ok, so it’s not a gadget but it’s small and kind of cool. We are expecting one to be with us on Wednesday or Thursday so that we can have a really good look at it.
The capsules are about 4cm tall and 1.7cm in diameter, and each have a mini plant inside. The pet plants can be used as a keyring or to hang off your mobile phone or Ipod. The plants will eventually grow out of the capsule then you can plant them in a normal pot. Your pet plant will only need watering every few weeks to keep them going. Each plant is meant to symbolise something different including prosperity, friendship, peace, luck, happiness and strength. Here at Techlounge we opted for the one that looks like a pineapple that is meant to symbolise strength. To be continued…

Not too sure that these are worthy enough to be a gadget. Aren’t they just plants.. or can you plug them in somewhere.

Hey guys, no battery, or Mp3 player unfortunately. Just a mini plant but it’s hot I’m telling you!

Hi, I’m looking to buy some of these pet plants for Christmas presents. Has yours turned up yet and is it as good as it looks?

A week later and our pet plant still hasn’t turned up. How annoying. The stock at the supplier is late! So we are still waiting….

Finally, after 3 weeks of waiting our Pet Plant has finally arrived. We opened the envelope with excitement. The actual capsule is smaller that we expected, but is 4cm, and the plant inside has a lot of growing to do, but it does look cool. We gave it some much needed water after it’s long journey and hopefully it will start to grow.
