For just over £130 you can buy the TViX without a hard drive which is the cheapest option, and then just go on the internet and buy a standard PC Hard Disk Drive. On average a 250GB HDD will be around £80 ish.
Just plug the TViX in to your PC and it is seen as an external Hard Disk Drive (No Drivers needed) and drop your photos on, music or your videos and away you go.
The USB 2 connection makes transferring data a simple and fast process. TViX supports a wide range of file formats
Video Playback – DivX 3.11, 4.x, 5.x, XviD, MPEG2(AVI, VOB), MPEG4, MPG, DAT
Audio Playback – PCM, MP3, Ogg Vorbis, WMA, AC3, DTS, WAV, AVI
Images – JPEG
With TViX having an optical out you should just be able to plug it in to a multi media amplifier via optical in and “Bob’s your Uncle” it should work, although we have not tested via this method
I may sound a bit thick but what is Ogg Vorbis?
Hi confused,
You’re not being thick at all.
Ogg Vorbis is an open source, audio encoding and streaming technology. Similar to Mp3′s but used by more geeky people.
