Asus W5000 White Laptop
It’s not often you get a laptop in white unless you get an Apple. Asus are now putting their white W5000 on the market for just under £1200, and it looks great. One of the first things we noticed here at Techlounge is that the keyboard will benefit from regular cleaning at least once a week if you’re using it regularly, as the gorgeous white keys show the dirt really easily.
What we love is the web-cam that is where the catch normally is. This 1.3 mega pixel camera will swivel 180 degrees and can film what’s sat on the opposite side of the laptop using supplied software. This camera is a great idea as it saves you carrying something else in you’re already fully laptop bag.
When you visit the Asus website this laptop falls under the Superior Mobility category and appears to be the only laptop in there. Meaning this system should be light in weight, and have a good set of features to make it as good as a office PC system.
With the battery in, this laptop weighs around the same as two bags of sugar (1.6kg) which is excellent considering what spec you can get with this system. The brief spec of this laptop is an Intel® Pentium® M 730-770, 40-80GB HDD, up to 768MB DDR2 memory, Wireless, Bluetooth, and a 12.1″ Crystal Shine display

A white laptop, nah leave it up to Apple. Can you imagine it after a few months usage, with the knocks and build up on the keys. No thanks
