Samsung SyncMaster™ 730MW 17″ Monitor
So it’s not your 50″ plasma but if you’re living in a small flat or have a small guest bedroom this multi use LCD screen is great.
Firstly looking at it from a TV point of view you do need to sit at least 5-6 feet away from it otherwise things are a little bit blocky. The speakers are fairly good and are really enhanced by the virtual Dolby which creates a 5.1 sound from your 2 speakers. You can still have it fairly loud and it doesn’t distort.
You have to admit this display really does look the part whatever you are using it for, as it has a DVI and VGA connection on the back so it can be used as a pc monitor as well. The 730MW also has a card read on the side and will display all your pictures on your memory card and your video clips.
There are more connections on this Samsung than you can dream of such as Analog RGB, DVI Digital Link, CVBS, S-Video, Component, TV (antenna/cable), SCART, 15-Pin D-Sub, DVI-D, CVBS, SCART, Component and RTF.

This looks like a great option to have in my small flat. Love all the connections that it’s got.
Are there any other manufacturers that do this sort of tv/monitor?

You’ll find that most big manufacturers produce them e.g. Sony, Panasonic and Sharp. just visit there websites to find out.

I have one of these in my bedsit and it is always a talking point. Sometimes my Playstation 2 looks a little bit blocky when playing GTA
