Panasonic 50″ Plasma TH50PHW6
For anyone who has had a 42″ plasma TV for a while, it is time that you made the next step up and got yourself a 50″ plasma. This Panasonic TH50PHW6 has fantastic picture quality and such sharpness that there is no going back once you’ve watched an action packed movie on one of these. The screen is completely flat, with a full 50″ viewing area, and a 160 degree viewing angle. It has one of the brightest displays, and can display up to 1,070 million colours with a 4000:1 contrast ratio. It is best watched at 16:9 wide screen cinema aspect, and it certainly feels like you are at the cinema especially when you plug in your surround sound system.
As this Panasonic plasma is less than four inches deep you can put it anywhere, either on the stand as shown or have it wall mounted. The TH50PHW6 plasma tv can also be used as a giant computer monitor as it is PC ready and can accept any VGA, XGA, SXGA, SVGA video signal. What more do you need but a great big room to put your 50″ plasma TV in and lots of spare time on your hands to watch all your favourite movies and tv shows, oh and plus some spare money to buy one in the first place.

The prices of plasma TV’s has come down a lot recently. You can pick this 50″ plasma up for under £3000 these days.

£3k for a TV… is it really worth it. I think i’ll wait till the prices come down in a year or so

The price on these will come down. It wasn’t long ago that the 42″ plasma was pricey, but now it is appearing in all the high street shops as almost the standard size screen.
