Samsung are set to take on the mighty iPhone with their upcoming release of the F480. Taking inspiration from the iPhone the F480 doesn’t look too dissimilar from Apple’s flagship phone. The F480 comes with a 2.8 inch colour touch screen that displays at 240 x 320 pixels.

The main advantage of the Samsung F480 is that it comes with 3G connectivity for lightning fast download speeds. The phone also comes with a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and a camera stabiliser so you can be sure of perfect pictures every time.

The F480 supports Mpeg4 video as well as H264 and H263 video format and features video editing software which allows the users video to be edited on the move. Mp3 play back is also featured as is the norm with any new phones, the down side is that the F480 does not have a lot of internal memory just 232mb but the addition of a microSD slot means that up to 8GB can be installed.

So if you can’t wait for the 3G iPhone to come out, if it is ever going to be released then the Samsung F480 is for you. Available in the UK from June the price is £TBC.
