Fujitsu Siemens Celeron D336 2.8GHz
This PC is no power house but it’s absolutely fine for general office use and the home user that doesn’t want to do high powered gaming. It has a Celeron D336 2.8Ghz processor, with 256mb memory, 40GB HDD, DVD drive and installed with XP Home.
The only thing that worried us here at Techlounge is the power supply. It’s not standard size, but smaller and fits in a purpose built cradle. This is a slight problem if you have to replace the power supply as you will need to get an identical PSU from Fujitsu Siemens, which will more than likely be hard to get hold of or it will be expensive. The other option would be to re-case the internals, which would be a shame as the case is really well designed and is of a solid build quality. For example there’s no screws needed to get inside the case, you just push a green button and lift the side panel up. There are 6 USB ports, 2 at the front and 4 at the back; the only thing that would be good is a DVD writer or even a CD writer at least so you can back up data.
What a shame the keyboard and mouse aren’t black as well. It looks a bit poor putting a white keyboard and mouse in the package. Here at Techlounge we’d replace the keyboard and mouse with the Labtec Ultra Slim Wireless Keyboard and Mouse.
