Be amongst the first to buy one of Apple’s HomeKit devices

Coming to the UK in July, Elagato confirmed that Eve, the company’s range of sensors used for monitoring your home, will be available here then. So for those of us that is interested in transforming their houses into smart homes, below is a full rundown of all the products Elgato will be releasing.

Firstly the sensors will make use of Apple’s upcoming HomeKit app; this will allow users to control those devices which are connected from a simple app. We have heard that with Homekit you have a simple, convenient and secure solution, all without any monthly fee, or even to purchase a starter kit, if this is the case then it is undoubtedly something really big. The device is controlled by Bluetooth LE and so you are not reliant on WiFi, which has to be good news.

First on the list is the Eve Room, this is a clever device that will tell you about air quality temperature and humidity, it will even tell you if the carpet needs vacuuming!

Next we have Eve Window which does what it says on the tin, it will tell you if you have left doors or windows insecure, useful if you are a bit forgetful.

If you are constantly concerned about the weather then number three will be great for you, Eve Weather is a box which monitors the weather outside your home. It’ll record temperature, humidity, and air pressure.

Finally and for some most important is Eve Energy, this will record how much energy your appliances are using, better still it allows the user to switch them on or off remotely, super for the forgetful who leaves lights on when the room is not in use!
