Our regular readers will have noticed that Techlounge has been a bit quiet over the last couple of months, and some of you will be wondering what we have been up to.
No excuses really… just that lots of other work came up which meant we didn’t have the time to review the products that we would have liked to. But no fear, we will have lots more reviews coming up for you over the next months.
We have been busy in the office spending time playing the Playstation 3 and the Nintendo Wii, both of them great consoles. When the Playstation 3 was finally launched in March what we were surprised of was the availability in the shops, making it not as sort after as the likes of the Xbox 360. Sometimes having a shortage makes it more exciting to finally get your hands on a console. Perhaps the price of the console was just putting people off ordering them as at over £400 you’ve got to have expensive tastes. We are still going through the process of checking all of our collections of Playstation 2 games to see which ones are backwardly compatible without much success.
The Nintendo Wii on the otherhand is very affordable and there are some good game packages thrown in with the console too. But all you really need is the Sports package as you have plenty of game play there. There have been injuries though in the office with people being hit… not by controllers flying out of people’s hands as the wrist straps were on tight, but with people’s arms swinging about in the excitement. This is an excellent family console and the Sports package, especially the boxing gives you a good work out too.
