Problems with the Playstation 3, PS3
It might not be too much of a bad thing that the Playstation 3 has been delayed on it’s release into the UK, as it seems that there are some teething problems with the first shipments that went into the USA and Japan.
This reminds us all too well of the disasterous start the Xbox 360 had a year ago when there were numerous faulty Xbox 360’s out there. Microsoft, maybe being due to being inundated with calls, were not the most helpful of manufacturers.
The problems that appear to be cropping up with the Playstation 3 is a black screen with no sound at all, to one extreme case of the console causing the tv to send sparks out of it, causing irreparable damage to the tv in the process. Sony it seems are being very helpful at the moment in providing a good warranty service.
So if the first batches of the Playstation 3 have an underlying problem, then let’s hope they will all be fixed for the release into the UK in March 2007.
