It has been revealed today that Sony are planning to release pink versions of the Playstation 2 and PSP towards the end of the year in a hope to attract the girlies to spend their money on these gaming consoles. Playstation variations have always been of a masculine design but now, especially with Christmas approaching there is the “pink pound” in a sense, to go after.
The Pink Sony PSP will be released as a limited edition value pack that includes a 32mb memory card, case and strap along with a Pink UMD video. The only slight downside of the pink PSP is that they have neglected to give the headphones a paint job, so it still comes with white headphones.
This pink Sony PSP is due to be released on the 27th October for £169.99.
The Pink Sony Playstation 2 is due to be released on the 8th November and you will get a glossy pink console, including 2 pink dual shock controllers and a pink 8mb memory card. Thrown into the deal is Singstar Popworld which is a trendy karaoke type game. The pink PS2 will cost around £130.
With these being released close to Christmas, and being limited editions, it will be worthwhile preordering these to ensure that you get one.
We think it looks pretty good in pink!
