Orange Unlimited Animal Packages

orange animal packages
After seeing the Orange adverts on TV the past few days we have been increasingly curious to find out more about these so called amazing packages.

You may have seen the adverts with big orange hot air balloon type things being inflated at the side of a lake with a Dolphin, Racoon, Canary and Panther. After checking out the Orange website we are none the wiser really as to the benefits of the packages and it certainly doesn’t help you choose the right animal.

The main criteria of the animal packages is that you can get an Unlimited service, and it can be either texts, landline calls, evening & weekend calls or internet browsing. To over complicate things as well they have a seperate set of choices if you are only taking out a 12 month contract. Is it their theory that they hope people will get really confused and sign up for 18 months with the wrong package for them, so that each month they can bill for the extras.

The Unlimited 18 month Animal Packages start from £35 per month and go up to £75 per month. If you text a lot the packages with large amounts of text on seem to be good value for money, especially since a text can cost between 12p & 15p with Orange out of plan. There are cheaper plans in the animal range starting from £19 a month.

thank god it’s not only me who think orange have lost it…. i’d like to know which 18 year old, rather slow, orange employee came up with this idea. it’s insane. makes no sense. i’m neither a racoon, dolphin, elephant, donkey, snake, or monkey… i’m human, so i go to t-mobile.

Lol, I had to laugh at your comment Mike as it’s so true.
The image of the directors or product managers at Orange opening up the staff suggestion box and picking this as the best one is a joke. Their marketing department must spend a fortune though on these sorts of promotions… just goes to show how muvh money the phone companies actually make out of us all.

I think the plans are stupid as well and it doesn’t seem as if there is a ‘normal’ tariff that I would like. They have ones with loads of texts and minimal minutes and vice versa, but none with a medium amount of each.

Agree with your comments, I find the prices are on the high side. My daughter has just got a plan with “Three” for 18 months half price at £22.50 pm, first 6 months gets 1200 minutes and 800 text after that 600 minutes and 400 text. And they throw in £5 free downloads, free MSN etc etc.

For a student it does not make sense to go to Orange, only way is to speak to customer services if you can get hold of them and convince them to better the offers….

With the Animal Plans and customer service as it is Orange have not done themselves any favours…

I like orange, although it’s crazy with the animal packages, it’s worth it. I recently changed my package and i was texting away to my friends, and it’s a great way to communicate with your friends. If you are my age, and wanting to talk to your old friends from school at uni, get orange, because 1, loads of people have it, 2, you can call for cheaper with magic numbers and 3, which ever package you get, with £5 – £30+ you get a certain amount of free texts that are right for you, so as you can see, i highly recommend orange to anyone who reads this comment.
