Sony MYLO - My Life Online
My Life Online or MYLO for short, is Sony’s ummm well, what actually is it? Well its kind of a posh PDA but with more uses.
The Sony MYLO features a 2.4″ 320 by 240 pixel LCD and a rather gorgeous looking glossy front, which is very much like the PSP. It has 1GB of onboard flash memory and being upgradeable with the Memory Stick Pro Duo slot, the MYLO really will hold some data as long as you fork out loads of cash for a large storage Duo. Coming with a 802.11b wireless connection, the most common connection out there, allows it to connect to the net and gives you access to Skype, Google Talk and Yahoo chat.
Using the Opera browser you can surf the net quite happily on your new gadget using the slide out QWERTY keyboard, typing just isn’t a problem.
What the Sony MYLO really misses is a phone and then it would be a great device, and due to lack 802.11b wireless in places it could hinder the sales of MYLO.
Even though it will play and share your music/video collection will this be enough to keep MYLO from been axed by Sony or will it still end up sat in the same pile as all those UMD films?
It will hit state side around September for $350. Will we ever get a chance to see it over here in the UK.

why are people calling this the ipod killer…… well is sony was really trying to make it a ipod killer i think i failed as this is not a mp3 player but a more like a smartphone killer. thats the problem with sony that it tries to get in to whatever is popular and stuff a load of features that isn’t good enough. its like erm if rolex or casio made a watch that was a must buy, sony will probaly make a watch that does what a watch does badly and shuv features in it like mp3 wifi or stuff like that

………..although and if there go and put features in it at least do it well. like why cant the psp have such great wifi content i mean if your making a game machine with media functions might as well add everthing that the mylo does or add games to the mylo. i mean they might aswell because the mylo wont be a cheap machine . cant sony just stick with making tv and hifi and home electricals and mobile phones

This will retail at £200 in the UK, so probably around $350 I should imagine.
