Sony Walkman NW-E005, NW-E002, NW-E003
Here we have the new release from Sony’s new Walkman range. Like the ipod shuffle it will plug directly into a USB drive for easy uploading of your music. It will come in a choice of black, purple, pink, green or
blue and the Sony NW-EOO5 will have 2GB of storage space. There will also be two other models released. The NW-E002 will have 512MB of space and the NW-E003 will come with 1GB.
There will be a line of accessories to go with this range including a waterproof casing so you can use it whilst in the shower and a silicone casing to protect it against shock damage. This new range of Sony Walkman’s looks fairly small and neat and should be Sony’s competitor to the iPod Shuffle which to be honest never really took off. Will this follow down a similar path?
So far there are no release dates or pricing on this new Sony Walkman but we look forward to hearing some more information soon.

These look pretty cool and I think the best reason to get one of them is to take it with you when you’re exercising or whatever. I have a 60GB Toshiba Gigabeat which is big enough to have all my music on it for the car journey to work everyday, but the 512MB version would do perfectly for all those other occasions when you want something smaller and more robust.

Just been bought one of these for my birthday the NW-E003 and although initially pretty chuffed with the present am now sorry to say the thing is definitely NOT loud enough. I travel to work on the tube everyday and at full volume I can’t hear a damn thing. Have seen elsewhere on this site that these can potentially be hacked to change the volume threshold. Can someone please work out how to do this for this model before I take it back and replace it for something more desirably ear-bashing. Cheers

Does anyone know how to make the volume louder on the NW-E005. Its way too quiet, can’t hear my music very well on the underground.
Couldn’t find anything on Atraclife Colloquium website.

bad news: some says that it is a flash player, not a hard disk player. so it cannot be hacked.
WHat a shit Europe do this hack into these devices!!!

I’ve just bought one of these and am really annoyed about the volume levels - anyone know of a hack yet ???
I been searching can’t find anything - tried to install non-EU firmware to see if that made any difference but it hasn’t - very very annoying!
If someone knows of any sort of hack for this player please share !!!

My Girlfriend bought me a nw eoo5 from hungary and plays ok sometimes but i can not get the software to install at the public library computer and it’s hard to send the music back to the library from the mp3 player i have lost some great songs because of this problem and by the way can anyone tell me is there mp3 player came with a few songs already installed on the system if so please give me the artist name and song thank you

I also forgot to say that my mp3 player did not have the radio and this was one of the features how can we have some prouducts with the same name and model number but not the same features
