Nike + iPod = Nike Plus

Introducing Nike’s new shoe that will be compitable with the iPod Nano. The new shoe will have special sensor’s on the bottom to calculate and give you detailed information about your workout, like your average speed, distance travelled etc. Also, if you find yourself working out extra hard and haven’t got time to look at your ipod to find out the information on your workout, there will be a voice which tells you all the information of your workout through your ipod.
Nike have also announced shirts, shorts, armbands and jackets to compliment the Nike Plus range. All Nike Plus items of clothing will have pouches which will suitably fit the iPod Nano into and will be designed for the way runners move and to give maximum comfort. The first compatible shoe from the Nike Plus will be the Nike Air Moire. The shoes will cost $100 which is roughly £65.
Once your workout is finished you can take your iPod Nano back to your computer and sync the data from your workout with www.nikeplus.com giving you a permanent log of all your workout information. The software for doing this will cost $30 (roughly £18-20). This is an innovative new idea from two company’s who do what they do brilliantly, and as people are regularly seen running with their ipods attached at the waist or via an armband we believe that his idea will catch on fairly rapidly.
The first range of shoes is set for release mid-July whilst six more new designs are to follow in early autumn.

:D
I do alot of jogging and im out and about all the time so i think this is fantastic idea. I only got a nano fairly recently and have got nowhere to put it when i go runnin so this should be fantastic and to be able to monitor how i’m doing will be great.
It makes so much sense that two big brands like apple and nike should work together! I can’t wait to get myself a pair.
