@ Sam: Don't you have the 220V charger? Are you sure there is enough power in USB-port on you PC? You need 5V. If you're using a USB-hub, than try connecting the device to you PC directly.

Hey, I've had the Sony NWA3000 for a year now but I think theres a problem with charging. When I connect the cable from the mp3 to my PC the red light appears and then goes again and the mp3 player then appears not to charge. I left it once for a whole night and the next day I played it for 10 minutes and it said Low Battery - Please Charge. Can someone help!

Hi. My sister just bought me my first ever original MP3 player, the Sony NWA3000. It's 5 in the morning and I'm already up transferring songs on to my player. It was sort of a blessing in disguise for me since my sister lost the installer CD installer that came with the player, so I had to download the latest Sonic Stage (V 4.03) from the web, or else I'd have experienced the same horrors many have written in this thread.

So far, the player's been with me for more or less 24 hours, and no problems yet, except for the 35-hour battery life which was actually just about half of that.

I tried working on a Pentium 4 system with 300+MB RAM, and the Sonic Stage didn't work. Fortunately, I was able to save the installer in to the player itself and installed it into a Pentium D system with 1GB RAM. Now it's working flawlessly, but not as fast as I'm used to.

This player won't work with the Sync feature in WMP or Winamp.

Is there anyway of increasing the speed at which you can search through the music library of my NW-A3000. I have used IPods and Creative Zen players in the past and they are light years ahead regarding music library access.

Hi,

Have been using SonicStage 4.3 for ages now and have had no problems. However I downloaded some music from Connect and when I connected my NW-A3000 to transfer the new music I got the following error message.

"Omgjbox.exe Application Error. The instruction at "Ox7c168f1d" referenced memory at "0x0000001c". The memory could not be read.

What on earth does that all mean! I know it is not a problem with my player as when I use the same programme on another computer then it connects perfectly ok. But I downloaded the music on my computer at work and this is where I get the error message and then the programme just shuts down. I have tried uninstalling Sonic and re-installing it but the problem just reoccurs.

Help advice needed please.

Hello everybody!

Does anybody can help me? I have had some bugs in Connect player and i decided to initialize and formate disk in my NW-A3000. And then i have deleted player from connect player ( in this window, where is connect store, library a.o.). Since that time my player connecting to PC, but it doesn't show in Connect player, just opening the window of removable disk and there is no files. Sorry for my bad english. Help me please! I'm sick without my music!

I have had my A3000 for a year now. Never bothered with connect software. Have used SonicStage 3.4. It works fine and have over 3000 songs on player. Only the aditional features dont work but not that bothered about them as long as my player works1
