Sky HD Prices
The information that we have been all waiting for… the prices for Sky HD.
To be able to watch Sky HD you will need a Sky HD box, a subscription to Sky HD and Sky Digital, subscription to a package that includes the Sky HD channels such as Sky World and also a HD ready TV.
If you are already a Sky subscriber you will be able to buy the Sky HD box for £299. The subscription charges for Sky HD will be an extra £10 a month. Sky are offering free Sky HD installation for people who subscribes during the offer period which ends at the end of May 2006.
You can now preorder your Sky HD box and subscription from the Sky HD website. You do have to pay a £30 deposit to ensure that you are in the queue but this will mean that you get called in the first few weeks of April and get an installation date that will take place pre launch. Installations will start in May and happen on a first come, first served basis.
One thing that we are not sure of is what happens to all of the Sky+ customers who may have just upgraded to a Sky+ 160 box. We reckon that there will be no reduction in the price of the Sky HD box which just means that Sky have made even more money!

Excellent. Can’t wait to get this kit installed.
I have signed up so hopefully I will be near the front of the queue.
I thought that the Sky HD subscription would have been more than just an extra £10 a month. I wonder if this will increase the more channels that they get on the HD broadcast?

It will have a 160GB drive in capable of a full series of 24 and will still have room left around 10-15 hours

DO I NEED A HDTV FOR SKY HD????????
