LG KG800 Chocolate Phone
This is the new LG KG800 chocolate phone that will be available from the 3rd May in Europe. It is the first phone in LG’s premium series and so far it has been a great success in Korea being seen out with all of the top celebs and stars.
It was released in Korea in November last year and so far has sold 300,000 handsets which accounts for 7% of the handset market out there. It is due to do very well in Europe too. It is a rich dark brown or chocolate colour and is a slider phone. There is not much information on it at the moment but it does have a 1.3 megapixel camera (could have been better quality if it’s a premium phone), a 240 x 320 colour screen and is GSM Tri-band. The unique part on this LG-KG800 is the screen itself though. It has a “hidden” LCD screen we would think somewhat like the screen in the Sony NWA3000 . It has touch pad controls which glow red when they are in use. All sounds very cool and we can’t wait to see one in the flesh.
In the Uk the most popular sleek phone has to be the Motorola RAZR so could the LG KG800 grab some of the market?

These phones look amazing with the glowing buttons and the touch pad controls. I like slider phones as well so that the keyboard is out of the way, makes the phone more compact.
Not sure whether the chocolate one or the white chocolate one is the one to go for?

It’s a hard choice Simon… our preference is the chocolate LG KG800 rather than the white chocolate KG800

I normally have a Orange SPV phone for work, I actually have at the moment the Orange SPV C550, but would like a more trendy phone if you know what I mean, but that still has the functionality to be able to sync with my outlook calendar and contacts etc.
Does anyone know if the LG KG800 can be used like an SPV?

I think you can actually use the LG KG800 to sync in with Outlook… i’m sure I read it somewhere

I saw this phone when I was looking around the Orange shop, it was the only phone that they had on display that was a real phone and not a cheap looking mock up. It has a really smooth slider on it an pink it lights up with that lovely red glow on the touch keys. What is the technology like on it, are they easy to use etc.

I have had my LG Chocolate phone for about a month now and I find it really easy to use and navigate to get to either a text or my contacts etc. The best thing about this phone is the wow factor when you push up the slider.

hi i recently ordered my LG KG800 chocolate andthen stumbled on to a pic on the net where it has a memory card….. doigetthis withthe phone when i buy it or do i fork out more money? from what i hear its worth it either way.
