Samsung P300 - SGH-P300

Another blast from the past that we have been waiting for is the Samsung P300. It looks like these will start becoming available within the next 6 months as more information is available on them. When we reviewed the Samsung P300 back in October there wasn’t much information out there on this mobile phone. We can now bring to you more details of the specs.
The main features that we knew in October was that the P300 had a 1.3 megapixel camera, 90 mb flash memory, bluetooth and an email client. We now know that the 1.3 megapixel camera also has a flash and the P300 is also an Mp3 player compatible with Mp3, AAC, AAC+ and Mpeg4 files. Along with the email there is also an organiser and voice mail. The Samsung P300 connects by USB and supports a WAP browser. The P300 doesn’t have a card slot nor does it have an infrared port.
We knew that the Samsung P300 was credit card sized but we have found out that it is actually 86 x 54 x 8.9 mm in size and weighs 65 grams. The TFT screen is 220 x 176 pixels. Battery life is 3 hours talk time and 160 hours (over 6 days) standby time. When this is released in the UK we will bring you the latest news on it.

The more I see this mobile phone the more I want one. It’s a real shame that it doesn’t have a card slot as this would have made it near perfect

Hell, if the phone had a card slot - I’d buy it right now. That IS a disappointment, cause I prefer to have an mp3 player and my phone in one gadget - without having to drag around a phone AND an mp3 player.

Has anyone managed to get this phone in the Uk yet? We are seeing a couple of mobile phone dealers showing them for O2 and Vodaphone monthly packages saying that they are in stock, and the sim free one is around £400, but other sites are saying that they are not available yet.

i have this phone, it all seems great apart from one terrible cock-up they have done… you cant change the absolutely ridiculous message tones to anything that you actually hear, and it only has 3 to choose from too with no way of adding your own 9 as far as i can see anyway.
