Creative Zen Vision :M Video 30GB

creative zen vision You maybe like the new Ipod Video but don’t really want it because you want to be a bit different, but want some equally as good? Well get the new Creative Zen Vision:M Video.

So lets take a closer look at the Creative Zen Vision:M 30GB. Weighing in at 166g, its 30g’s heavier than the same spec Ipod. The screens on both are 2.5″ in size and 320×240 Pixels. So not much difference there then.

The animated photo playback battery life on the Ipod is only around 2 hours where as the Zen holds up for 4 hours. The main thing the Zen slightly loses out on is the 11hrs music playback where as the Ipod does hold for 14hrs. The Creative Zen Vision:M also has a good support of file formats for video including MPEG-4, WMV, Motion JPEG, DivX, and XviD. In size the Zen is slightly thicker, 62 ×104 ×19 mm vs the Ipod at 61.8 × 103.5 × 11 mm.

But do we really want something that looks like an Ipod. The Ipod in design and functionality was groundbreaking and they certainly have a good control of the Mp3 player market. We really do like the Zen Vision:M here at Techlounge, but it’s too similar to the Ipod, unless you get the green version! Check out the Sony Walkman NWA3000, the new fresh design would be amazing if Sony do a 2nd generation to include video.

  • charlie 8th December 2005

course it will! best colour in the world that! really liking this design…. but whats with the big white bit in the middle… that could look better…

  • Tech Lounge 9th December 2005

They seem to have forgotten about this part of the outer case in the restyling. The black one has had it’s middle section coloured correctly. Shame…

i got one at buy.com for 179.99, itll be here soon, i saw this and compared it to the other leading mp3′s, this one reigns on top. i traded in my blue ipod nano for this, that was a piece of crap, everyone buys an ipod only because is an apple product, ipod is too famous, so everyone must have it, i made that mistake in which i corrected today.
